Béla Fleck

Béla Fleck (född 10 juli 1958 i New York ) är en amerikansk bluegrass- och jazzmusiker .

Béla Fleck började spela folkgitarr i tidig barndom . När han var 15 år gav hans farfar honom en banjo . Sedan dess har banjo varit hans huvudinstrument. Fleck spelar med band och musiker från olika områden. Från 1981 till 1989 var han medlem i New Grass Revival . Han är bandledare för Flecktones (med bland andra Victor Wooten ), men arbetade med Edgar Meyer på flera utgåvor på Sony Classical.

Från 1995 till 2016 vann Fleck 15 Grammys i fält så olika som country, jazz, pop, världsmusik och crossover classic och nominerades ytterligare 30 gånger.

Han spelade drivande banjo i den officiella låten för 2004 års EM i fotboll i Portugal: Força ("Hau rein!") Av Nelly Furtado .
